MSE Brand Inkjet Cartridges

At MSE, we understand the need to manufacture high quality compatible inkjets. MSE Engineers design

and manufacture customized tools, ultrasonic welding equipment and additional devices in order to

maintain precision and maximize efficiencies. MSE’s 30,000 sqft inkjet manufacturing facility can now

produce up to 500,000 printhead-based inkjets every month, and we now produce more than 40 models.

MSE’s inkjet manufacturing process includes several patented technologies and protocols. We use

top-of-the-line analysis and test equipment to assure the best cartridge and ink compatibility, media

compatibility and high durability of cartridges over time. Among these are the Viscometer, surface tension

analyzer and pH meter QC panel (fading test) to compare the after-market ink performance to OEM inks.

MSE uses the ImageXpert system (print quality analysis software and scanner that OEMs use in their labs

to evaluate print quality and printhead designs) as well as top-of-the-line spectra densitometers to measure

colors and densities.

All MSE printhead-based inkjets are exclusively manufactured with virgin cores. In addition all cores must

undergo intense inspection to ensure highest throughput possible. Inkjets are purged with MSE

proprietary cleaning solution and purified water and additional processes are utilized to remove all

residual ink.

MSE performs three major lines of defense in order to verify and assure the quality of the product:

• Receiving Inspection: Quality assurance technicians are inspecting every incoming component,

including ink, according to tight protocols in order to verify conformance.

• Print Testing: Every cartridge is tested after production and compared to reference.

• Final Inspection (Finished Goods inspection): All finished goods are quarantined for several days. Then

before sending to inventory, 5% are tested again in order to verify cartridge performance on the shelf.
